Cavendish caps historic Specialized success in Tour de France

Mark Cavendish roared down the Champs-Élysées with victory Sunday to cap a hugely successful Tour de France for Specialized in cycling's marquee event.

“It’s an incredibly emotional day for me. It’s the third time I’ve won on the Champs-Élysées, and it’s a massive honor,” he said. “I’m wearing the jersey on behalf of eight other incredible guys—nine of us rode together on this Tour de France. We’ve had to work incredibly hard for this jersey, winning six stages [including Tony Martin’s TT win] on the way.” With Cavendish's win, Specialized bikes were on the winning end of six stage victories and a trip to the final podium in Paris with Cavendish's first career green jersey.
